Build your own website in WordPress

Chester – 20th February 2014 9.30am to 4.30pm

WordPress is one of the most popular platforms to build a website because it’s free, it has a very flexible and user friendly content management system, a global support community and thousands of added value plugins.
In this one day course David Taylor from Webmedia will work with a small group in hands-on learning and give you everything you need to set up a great looking website with lots of functionality and SEO enabled.

You will work on your own exclusive WordPress website through the day

What you will learn:
About WordPress
Downloading & installing WordPress
Installing a design theme
Finding your way around the admin interface
Creating pages & posts
Widgets & plugins
Editing themes

Your minimum outcome for the day will be a 3 page website built using the Enfold design theme.  Homepage, blog and contact page.

On the day you will need to bring a laptop which can connect to a our wireless internet connection
