support for employees: Challenges and stressors involved with parenting and strained family relationships have been found to affect employee performance in the work place, causing distractibility, absenteeism, higher turnover, lower productivity and lower job commitment. The demonstrated benefits of Parenting Assistance Programme (PAP) for employees includes greater confidence for employees in completing tasks at home and at work; greater perceived control over their home situation and significantly reduced levels of reported work stress.

The Parenting Assistance Programme (PAP) offers private, flexible, professional and individual support for employees and their families by a Chartered Clinical Psychologist. This support can be welcomed by employees who may feel overwhelmed by their child’s behaviour or strained family relationships, and can often feel ‘stuck’ as to how to best move forward. PAP can offer support and practical help for a range of issues including:

Parental separation

Family discord

Sleep difficulties

Defiant behaviour

Setting boundaries for children / teenagers

Learning needs / difficulties of children

Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Aspberger’s Syndrome

ADHD

Dyslexia


Parenting Assistance can be offered at evenings and weekends to suit employees’ schedules, via face-to-face consultations, or via telephone or email. Fees range between £20 and £50 per consultation. All support is provided by a Chartered Clinical Psychologist. Brief, evidence-based, solution-orientated interventions are offered to empower parents with the skills and practical strategies to manage their children’s behaviours and enhance family relationships.
